Things worth sharing

Sometimes I like to window shop all of the vintage lovelies on Etsy and I thought I would share with you some of the beautiful things I have found and dream of owning.

(I also feel the need to point out that this isn't a sponsored post. So many bloggers are sponsored it kind of feels like the norm to be advertised at (and is something I have all kinds of hate for), but this really is just a list of things I found on my own and really dig.)

From EllieMayhems
This set would look so glorious on my vanity table! I can't think of anything I'd rather see every morning as I put on my make up.

From VintageSquirrels
This dress is basically everything I like in terms of cut, style, pattern and colour. If only it were a little bigger it would definately be mine!

From VicAndBertieVinatge
The blouse isn't part of the dress, but I think they look just fab paired together. I love jumper dresses, they're so versatile and this one is truly lovely.

From RabbitsAndRags
I imagine feeling very Picnic at Hanging Rock wearing this.

From FoundAndFeral
Trapeze dresses are my absolute favourite thing to wear and I adore the psychedelic print on this.

From Wadulisiwoman
This lovely dolly dress is perfect. Just needs some white tights and mary janes.

From GildedG***ies
Scalloped hem mini skirts are my weakness, and I particularly love the colour of this. I can already think of several tops in my wardrobe I'd pair it with!

From VeryBestVintage
I love these 70s sandals, I think they're versatile enough to go with most things.

But listen to the colour of your dreams

1960s vintage clothing

I recently acquired this beautiful dress, and it absolutely required me to get dressed up in my dolly best to show it to you! I've also been feeling a little blue lately and getting dressed up never fails to make me feel better.

The sleeves were what sold it to me. I love that the embroidery is carried over onto the cuffs.

Spring is nearly here and daffodils are in full bloom, another reason to be happy! I love how well they match my 70s vase.

July 1965

I think one of the best ways to get a glimpse of life in the past is through the magazines of that time and I sometimes like to skim through places like eBay for magazines that catch my eye. A somewhat recent acquisition was this July 1965 issue of 'Teen magazine and I thought I'd share some of the pages with you.

Colleen Corby in Teen Magazine 1965
I couldn't resist buying this issue just for the model on the cover, how lovely she looks with her frame of daisies.

I love to see little traces of the original owner of things and was delighted to find that this magazine has a few, including the lip print above.

I love this illustration, I wonder if it was shown to Cornelia?
